My Approach

Karis sits with compassionate presence to the real, felt experience of those she meets. 

Initially trained in Person-Centered Therapy, Karis has found a home in meeting clients with empathy, attunement, and unconditional positive regard. The therapeutic relationship is deeply important to the therapy process, so Karis believes it is important to find a good fit. You can expect Karis to take an integrative approach, using interventions tailored to the needs of the client. 

Karis works with adults, teens, and families on a variety of mental health, relational, and systemic concerns. Karis works with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, spiritual transitions, women's issues. 

Karis holds a special interest in working with teenagers ages 13-18, especially around themes of trauma, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. Karis has experience walking alongside teens in the LGBTQIA+ community as they find a home in their gender and sexual identities, their bodies, and families. 

Karis is a firm believer in the mind-body connection, somatic meditation, and breath work.
